BLUE BOTTLE COFFEE.

I think it’s safe to say that I’m addicted to coffee and my frequent consumption proves this statement to be true. Blue Bottle Coffee is located in DTLA in the Arts District and it has become one of my go-to spots when I need a quick pick me up in the area. Their coffee is smooth providing just the right amount of sweetness to satisfy my caffeine indulgence.  If you’re a coffee connoisseur trust me, this place is amazing and their cold brew takes coffee to another level. Their sleek and contemporary design is captivating once you enter, yet still providing a calm and cool atmosphere for those who want to get some work done while enjoying a cup of coffee. Blue Bottle Coffee’s logo is simple & cute, thus allowing it to become a staple in the DTLA area. Anyways, it’s a warm & beautiful Sunday so enjoy a cold caffeinated beverage if you’re in the area. Cheers!

A TASTE of 🇮🇹

Who can resist a tasty Italian meal when it’s on a beautiful sunny Saturday by the beach? Today I had lunch at Trastevere located at the ever so popular, 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica.  Delicious Italian food paired with great company is what I call a perfect Saturday.

S I L E N C E.

It takes noise to appreciate silence and when I stop to think about it, the digital age rarely gives many of us any moment of quietness. From everyday chatter to my cell phone buzzing, silence is rarely experienced and when it is, it’s only for a brief moment in time.  Rooftops allow me to step away from the everyday chaos that life brings as well as the freedom to let go and appreciate the simple, yet fascinating things that surround me. I believe that living in the moment is taking in and appreciating the beauty around you & in order to do this, one must experience that time in silence.

NASTY GAL.

The Nasty Gal boutique is a must! Today I visited the Melrose location and their gorgeous interior and set-up definitely made me feel like I walked into their website. I’m a frequent Nasty Gal shopper so seeing their website come to life was an amazing experience. As I walked throughout the store, I noticed a few vintage Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Moschino pieces that definitely brought me back to the early 90’s when I used to walk into my mother’s closet to try on her luxury accessories (I’m still waiting to inherit those, Mom).  Nasty Gal is like a fashion lover’s playground & the mirrors are the best when you need that perfect outfit of the day photo. Haha!

SARAH CAIN.

My favorite Los Angeles based contemporary artist, Sarah Cain is currently showing some of her pieces at the La Jolla Museum of Contemporary Art. I had the opportunity to view her solo exhibition featuring some of her recent projects showcasing abstract paintings on traditional canvas. Cain is known for bringing life to plain canvas by her use of color and form while adding flare by including poetic and unusual artifacts. Her artwork fuses together on a formal level creating an ambiguous masterpiece when completed. Cain’s work has become my favorite because of her use of bright colors bringing out femininity while evoking emotion & memory to the conscious mind.

YOUNG, WILD & F R E E.

At the age of 27, I can say with confidence that my experiences have made me who I am today and I’m happy with who I have become.  Life can hand you lemons at times and although we are the master of our own destiny, I believe that life throws us curve balls in order to prepare us for something bigger. I’ve learned that we cross paths with people for a reason and sometimes it’s just to share some laughs or to teach us more about ourselves and what we are willing to accept.  The truth still remains and that is everyone you meet and everything you experience is either a blessing or a lesson and it’s how well you play with the hand that you’re dealt. In the words of Napoleon Hill, “You can influence, direct, and control your own environment. You can make your life what you want it to be.” With so many new adventures & upcoming events, I’ll be sure to grab life with open arms and see where it takes me.

U N D E R B E L L Y.

When the weather is gloomy with a cool breeze, Downtown San Diego’s Underbelly is where I like to get my Ramen fix. The menu is simple, quick and easy even for picky vegetarian eaters like myself.  All I have to say is, the hype about this place is R E A L so come  in & and enjoy some Asian Fusion dishes that will keep your belly happy.
